Add 1L of water, 1T salt, and the chicken to a pot and boil for 3 minutes from the boiling point.
Rinse the boiled chicken under running cold water and set aside.
Cut the potatoes and onion into cubes and chop the green onion into large pieces.
Add the boiled chicken, potato, 600ml water, 4T red pepper flakes, 8T dark soy sauce, 1T sugar, 3T starch syrup, 3T mirin, 2T minced garlic, 1T pepper, and 0.5T salt, then boil for 3 minutes from the boiling point.
Add the onion and green onion, reduce to medium-low heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
