Prepare the potatoes and soak in water for 10 minutes.
Place the potatoes in a pot with 0.5T salt and 800ml water, enough to cover.
Once it starts boiling, cover and simmer on medium-low heat for 30 minutes.
While the potatoes are cooking, dissolve 1T sugar in 100ml water to make sugar water.
Check doneness by piercing with chopsticks; when done, drain the remaining water.
Sprinkle the sugar water evenly over the potatoes and roll them over low heat until glazed and fluffy to finish.
