Cut off the base of the oyster mushrooms and tear them into bite-sized pieces
Give the mushrooms a light rinse and let them drain in a strainer
While the mushrooms drain, slice the onion, green onion, and red chili pepper
Place the oyster mushrooms and a pinch of salt in a dry pan and toast without any oil
Set the toasted mushrooms aside on a plate; add 3T cooking oil, minced garlic, green onion, and onion to the pan and stir-fry
When the onion is almost cooked, add the toasted mushrooms, red chili pepper, 1T dark soy sauce, 1T oyster sauce, black pepper, and corn syrup; stir-fry for 1 minute
