Open the dried squid strip package and spread them out wide to prevent tangling
Cut into thirds with scissors to make bite-sized pieces
Toss the dried squid strips with 4T of soju and mix thoroughly
Place a pan over low heat and dry-roast the soju-coated squid strips, stirring gently
In a separate pan, combine mayonnaise 5T, gochujang 1T, sugar 1T, starch syrup 1T, and water 3T, then simmer over low heat
Once the sauce starts to boil, turn off the heat, add the dry-roasted squid strips, toss lightly, then finish with a drizzle of sesame oil and a sprinkle of sesame seeds
