Cut the radish into large chunks.
In a pot, add 800ml water, radish, 1 sheet of dried kelp, and 4 tbsp dark soy sauce, and braise until the radish is cooked through.
Remove the squid's tentacles and cartilage, then scrub thoroughly with 3 tbsp flour and 1 tbsp sea salt, and rinse.
Cut the squid into bite-sized pieces, slice the garlic thinly, and remove the stems from the wrinkled peppers.
Once the radish is fully cooked, add the squid, 2 tbsp corn syrup, 0.5 tbsp sugar, a pinch of ginger pepper, and 1 tbsp red pepper flakes, then simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
With 2 minutes remaining, add the wrinkled peppers and sliced garlic, continue simmering, then finish with 1 tbsp sesame oil and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
