Rinse the chicken thoroughly under running water.
Add the chicken, instant coffee mix 1 packet, and bay leaves 5 sheets to 1L of boiling water and blanch for 5 minutes.
While the chicken is blanching, prepare the potatoes, onion, and green onions.
Rinse the blanched chicken in cold water and drain on a strainer.
In a bowl, combine gochujang 4T, red pepper powder 3T, corn syrup 5T, mirin 2T, minced garlic 1T, black pepper 0.5T, and dark soy sauce 10T to make the sauce.
In a pot, add water 600ml, the blanched chicken, potatoes, onion, instant coffee mix 1 packet, and sauce, boil on high heat for 10 minutes, then reduce to medium heat, add green onions, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
