Spread the anchovies in a microwave-safe dish and microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds
Remove the anchovies and leave them at room temperature; meanwhile, trim the whole garlic and cheongyang chili peppers
Heat 2T cooking oil in a pan on low heat, add the garlic and chili peppers and stir-fry lightly
When the vegetables become golden, add 2T mirin and 1/3T soy sauce; when the sauce boils, add the anchovies
Once everything is stir-fried, turn off the heat and toss with 3T corn syrup and 0.5T sesame oil to finish
