Keep one can of mackerel whole, and separate the mackerel from the liquid in the other can (total: mackerel from 2 cans, liquid from 1 can)
Prepare the radish, onion, green onion, and cheongyang chili
Mix gochujang, gochugaru, dark soy sauce, minced garlic, mirin, plum extract, pepper, and ginger to make the sauce
In a pot, add cooking oil, radish, onion, liquid from 1 can, 500ml water, and the sauce; boil for 10 minutes
Once the radish is cooked, add the mackerel, cheongyang chili, and green onion; spoon the sauce over the mackerel and simmer for 6-8 minutes
